Days 23-27

Since my TV’s broken, and I’m waiting for downloads to finish, I got soem free time to upload photos for the challenge.

Day 13: Sunflare. And like Elaine, I had a hard time accomplishing this task. Wala kasing mga puno dito sa city. Chos. So, I decided to look for old photos with sunflare (I usually take these kinds of photos when on the beach.) and I found this from my recent trip to Thailand. This was taken when Pia and I were riding the elephant. (You can view more of my photos on my Facebook page. I already uploaded them, yay!)

Day 24: Animal. Meet Willie, one of our youngest cats. I love his nose, it has a black spot that’s shaped like a heart.

Day 25: Something pink… Fireworks after the Black Eyed Peas concert.

Day 26: Close-up. So here’s a signature of Jason Mraz, he signed my co-worker’s ukelele. Authentic yan, promise! Nakaka-ingit! I was at the control booth when he was called on stage. Booooo. (Ingit.)

Day 27: From a distance. I said earlier that I was assigned in the control booth, and I love it there even though its far from the stage. What I love about being there is that you can enjoy the show without the stress of being surrounded by people, and you have the perfect view of the whole stage.

Three more days and complete na ang challenge. Kaya ‘to!

22 and 23

If you’re gonna look back at my original post for the 30-day Photo Challenge (here), you’ll see for Day 22 I wrote there ‘fearless self-portrait,’ but when I checked what my friends posted, it said ‘faceless self-portrait.’ I have nooo idea where I the ‘fearless’ idea. Probably another one of my sabaw moments.

The task for Day 23 is to take a photo of hands. It can be yours or whoevers, or whatever. I got a photo of my own hands taken months back. I wasn’t that busy with work, so I was able to do a polka-dot pattern :)

Bokeh, eh?

Tadaaaaa, my (faux) bokehhhh shot. (I had a hard time doing this bokeh thing with Lulu, ha!) Those are the heads of people in front of me and in the middle of the photo are the few lights of the Black Eyed Peas stage that were actually visible to me.

Here in Manila, Gold tickets mean nothing. VIP ba kamo? Sus, wala yan. You gotta be SVIP (Super Very Important Person, I assume? Or Special Very Important Person?) to actually see something.

And I’m BaKK!

Sorta kinda lost in the Northern Bus Terminal, Bangkok.

Sorry, I’ve been out and about “backpacking” in Thailand in the last couple of days. Went to Bangkok (get it now? Bangkok = BKK > BaKK? Geddit?!) and Chiang Mai, but more on that later. I need to fix my thoughts and photos first.

But I did not forget about my 30 day challenge! And most of the photos were shot in Thailand, so it’s gonna be a little preview of my trip.

Day 12: Sunset. A little bit of cheating here since this photo was taken last July when my family and I watched Cirque du Soleil when they visited Manila. (Read.)

Day 13: 13 things. Here are 13 things that I needed to bring with me to Thailand.

Day 14: Eyes. I see this ad for L’Oreal when we get off out BTS stop. I am so drawn to her eye make up, I love the frost color and the just right smoky-eye effect.

Day 15: Silhouette. This was when we went caving in Chiang Dao; that’s our tour guide who has been guiding tourists for about 22 years.

Day 16: Long exposure. Ah, another daya. This was taken last August, when Chonx and I watched 30 Seconds to Mars when they played here in Manila. (Blogged here.)

Day 17: Technology. Now this photo is a photo of the best bus I have ever ridden in my entire life. This is Nakon Chai Air’s Gold bus. A 12-hour bus ride is more enjoyable when you have movie selections, blankets, food and proper reclining chairs (not the airplaine kind). And on our way from Chaing Mai to BKK, we bought the First Class tickets, and we had chairs that has massagers! Sosyaaaaaal!

Day 18: Shoes. It looks like we are promoting Ked’s noh? Totally not planned. I forgot that Pia also owned a pair of Ked’s! Then the position was by accident, and took a shot of it when I realized.

And today is Day 19: something orange. This is what I wore when we visited Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I totally matched the orange floors and gold buddha’s all around us.

Not bad, eh?

I’m only human

Ha, so late nanaman ang post ko! Tao lang, nagiging busy with, uh, things. I’m only human, like the singer of my Day 10 entry. Haha!

Thanks to Ade, Jay, Mike and I were able to catch the Belinda Carlisle, Howard Jones and Human League in when they had a concert here in Manila last Friday. Nakakatawa kasi most people don’t know who they are! (Pero ako, di ko talaga kilala si Howard Jones) I asked my mom and dad why I know them, sabi ni mommy “Weird ka kasi” without batting an eyelash. Great, my mom thinks I’m weird.

For you who don’t know who they are–
Belinda sang We Got the Beat when she was still with The Go-Go’s. Yes, the one covered in Glee, that song they sang when they were in the cafeteria when they were trying to recruit new members. Napasayaw kami ni Jay when she sang Heaven On Earth (video)!
Howard Jones is someone I really don’t know. As in. I thought I knew Where is Love, pero hindi pala. Excited pa naman ako kasi I thought yun yung Where Is Love sa Night at the Roxbury. Hindi pala, pft. Inantok kami ni Mike!
Human League. They are super famous for singing Human. As in “I’m only human…” (di ko na alam lyrics, pero promise, you know this song! Click to watch the music video.) Tapos, they also sang Together in Electric Dreams!

Di niyo pa din kilala? I give up.

And for my Day 11 entry, it’s something I do (almost) everyday.
