Remember my Citizens of Summer post? Well, here I am again, buying another pair at the Make Your Own Havaianas event.
This event never fails to make me smile. It’s just happiness all around! Plus, I got to spend it with my office friends, Tita Mia, Nana and my fellow flip flop addict Isabel.

It’s always so tempting to get all colors and styles. Especially when everything’s right in front of you and can be viewed this way —

My officemates (l-r) Gladys and fellow G Girls/January girls Karen and Jan —

Our very accommodating, friendly and chatty Havaianas assemblers Pam and Carlo. Both of them are like rays of sunshine that brought an extra dose happiness to my day. Haha! Baka mabasa nila, so dapat good feedback. But really, they we’re very accommodating and friendly. Nothing but good vibes from the two of them. Plus it helps that they loved Sabby, too! :)

With Nana (who, I am pretty sure, is NOT (I repeat NOT) taller than me even though she’s just 12. I’m just not standing straight!) and Isabel with Pam and Carlo —

And I just had to have a photo op at this Havaianas set up! It’s so summery!!!
(And that’s real sand right there, too.)
Here’s my pair: Havaianas Fit with the aviator and crown (which I just copied from Isabel’s cos it was pretty on her slippers) pins—

I want to go back again next year! I promise myself that I will only buy every MYOH event. (Hahaha…. Promise daw.)
Anyway, I am sooooo ready to hit the beach now! Lesgow!
After ten million years, I finally got my copy of my 7th and last issue with Lonely Planet Philippines.

I prolly won’t be able to see my name in that staff box ever again. But I’m hoping I’d still get to contribute in the future.
Also, please like them on Facebook (Lonely Planet Magazine Philippines) and follow them on Twitter (@LonelyPlanetPH). And if you have stuff you want to contribute or any ideas for articles (especially for 10 Easy Trips around the Philippines and Asia!), please don’t hesitate to email them at lonelyplanet@bellaluce.com.
Sometimes something happens and you’re at a loss for words on how to do justice to the moment/event.
See, I cannot even think of a proper title.
I tried a dozen of times—on my phone, on a piece of paper while waiting for someone, at work, on the bus. Or maybe its because I’m simply a writer wannabe that any form of post I try to write is not enough.
Only four words can truly describe how I feel: I miss you, Papa.

I would like to extend my gratitude to all those who visited during the wake, those who helped us prepare everything, those who gave food, those who kept us company. For all those who loved him and was there for him, thank you. He’s in a better place now.
I’ve been wanting to write a post about the stuff that happened 2 weeks ago, but I can’t seem to find the words. So let me take this opportunity to say thank you to those who gave their support, thank you very much. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

With all the craziness that’s happened in the last two weeks, it’s good to know that the center of it all lived the best he could. (But more on that on a different post.)
This video is a beautiful reminder that we must live. Must. Live to experience everything. Life is too short to just not experience anything. To be held back by people and work. No matter what age you die, be it at 20 or at 81, there’s so much to experience and too short a time to do it.
My lolo once told me “kung indi ka mag taya indi ka gid mag-daog” (if you don’t bet, you won’t win).
Here’s to living the life we choose and experiencing the world.
Benta lang!
